1905 movie network news On July 17, as one of the main activities of the 4th Jackie Chan International Action Film Week, the "Jackie Chan International Film Art Poster Exhibition" was officially launched at the Datong China Sculpture Museum. Jackie Chan and Datong Municipal Party Secretary Zhang Jifu, Datong Vice Mayor Guo Lei, Chairperson of 1905 Film Network Li Wei and other film festival organizers and organizers attended.
The theme of this "Jackie Chan International Film Art Poster Exhibition" is "Film Walker". In her speech, Guo Lei, deputy mayor of Datong City, said that Jackie Chan is a landmark figure in the Chinese film industry and even the world film industry. He is not only a light and shadow walker, but also a messenger of communication, which has played an important role in promoting Chinese culture to the world. Over the years, the style of movie posters has been constantly changing and updating, but the feelings and classic memories of Jackie Chan’s films remain unchanged.
According to the introduction, this exhibition selects more than 100 posters from Jackie Chan’s first film "New Jingwumen", which played the male lead in 1976, to his latest work "British Showdown" in 2017. It reviews Jackie Chan’s past classics with three themes: "Style · Action Hero", "Role Model · Hollywood Road", and "Times · Chinese Film Dream". Among them, there are his 1978 work "Drunken Fist", which pioneered his personal style and set off the trend of action movies, and "Plan A", which combined difficult action and comedy elements, launched in 1987. There are the world’s top ten movies of the year "Drunken Fist", the global hit "Red Fan District", the Hollywood A-level production "Rush Hour", and the popular "Kung Fu Yoga" in the mainland film market.
Then Jackie Chan, the "absolute protagonist" of the event, took the stage to the applause of the audience. As soon as he appeared, he laughed and said that when he signed the posters before the event, he was surprised to find that many of the posters in the exhibition did not even have him. Looking back on his action career over the past few decades in this way, Jackie Chan also sighed: "It is not easy to be able to live until now and still walk. You may not imagine the hardships we suffered in filming at that time. Without so many protective measures now, we just went into battle (fight) in person."
In order to welcome the fourth Jackie Chan International Action Film Week, the organizers also held a "I and Jackie Chan Action Film Week Poster Drawing Contest" to solicit ideas from fans. In the end, ten lucky fan painters won awards, including middle school students who liked Jackie Chan movies and action people who were encouraged by Jackie Chan to become martial arts instructors. On the day, they were all invited to the event. Jackie Chan presented them with awards one by one and expressed his heartfelt gratitude.
At the end of the event, the "Jackie Chan International Film Art Poster Exhibition" released the "Drunken Fist" theme poster in the form of ingenious puzzles. In addition, more than 200 volunteers of this year’s "Jackie Chan International Action Film Week" also went to work at the same time. Jackie Chan interacted with the students and took photos with the people. Seeing a fan classmate who liked him shed tears, his eldest brother also gave a hug to express comfort.
Tomorrow (July 18), the 4th Jackie Chan International Action Film Week will officially open, so stay tuned.
